Australia – User-experience research of SRC Act to be conducted
The panel for the review of the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1988 (SRC Act) has engaged an independent research team to research the user-experience of the SRC Act as part of the review’s consultation process (see previous Bulletin here). Applications are sought from injured workers, claims managers, rehabilitation case managers and supervisors who support workers making workers’ compensation claims.

New FSC online platform launched
The Office of the Federal Safety Commissioner (FSC) has launched a new version of FSC Online, the platform used for the WHS Accreditation Scheme. Submissions for the July to December 2024 biannual report are due 28 February 2025.

Initiatives to streamline heavy vehicle permits released
The National Heavy Vehicle Regulator and the South Australian state and local governments have delivered a series of heavy vehicle productivity initiatives. The initiatives introduce three Oversize Overmass trial notices to replace the need to apply for permits on key routes and streamline heavy vehicle access.
