Environment Essentials Privacy Policy


At Environment Essentials (EE), we take our obligations for protecting personal and corporate information seriously. We are bound by, and will abide by, the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) in the Privacy Act (Commonwealth) 1988, together with the 2014 and subsequent amendments.

Under the APPs, we are required to have clearly expressed policies on our management of personal information. The APPs contain rules about the collection, use, disclosure and storage of personal information. This privacy policy sets out how we comply with our obligations under the Privacy Act 1988.

Application of this Privacy Statement

This privacy statement applies to the www.enviroessentials.com.au website and our management of client information. It does not apply to any websites to which www.enviroessentials.com.au provides a link.

Use and Disclosure of Personal Information

We request personal information for the purposes of providing services you have asked for or subscribed to. We will not provide personal information to third-party marketing companies, overseas entities or to any person or entity outside of EE and its associates. EE employees and associates are required to protect and handle your personal information in accordance with EE’s internal Privacy and Confidentiality Policy.

No “sensitive information” is collected or stored by EE.

www.enviroessentials.com.au uses a secure system to transmit any personal information you enter into our website. All such data is encrypted via SSL.

Access to and Correction of Personal Information

You may request access to any personal information that EE may have collected about you. Also, you may request correction of your personal information if you can establish that it is not accurate, complete or up-to-date. Please send any such requests to admin@enviroessentials.com.au

Collection of Personal Information

It is intended that the public www.enviroessentials.com.au website can be used anonymously. The subscription website requires provision of some organisation and personal information.

You will know if EE is collecting personal information from you because you will be requested to provide it. There are two exceptions to this.

The first exception is where someone else provides EE with your personal information. This will usually be a person from your organisation authorised to provide such information. It may also be from publicly available sources including social media websites. Upon request by any person, EE will provide a copy of their personal information stored electronically by EE.

The second exception is where EE collects statistics using software techniques such as web server log file analysis, clickstream data, cookies and web beacons. You should be aware that there are risks in transmitting information across the Internet. However, EE takes reasonable steps to protect any personal information from unauthorised access once that personal information comes into its possession.

Web measurement service used by EE

EE currently uses one web measurement service provider. This is Google Analytics.

Google Analytics uses a first-party cookie and JavaScript code to collect information about visitors to EE’s website. Google Analytics anonymously tracks how our visitors interact with this website, including where they came from and what they did on the site.

How to Opt Out or Disable Cookies

Cookies used by EE are enabled by default because of their integration into the website. If you do not wish to have cookies placed on your computer, you can disable them using your web browser. You will need to customise each web browser you use to turn off cookie tracking. Please note: if you subscribe to one of our subscription products, you must enable cookies, otherwise you will not be able to logon.

If you want to prevent your browsing data from being collected by Google Analytics, please install the relevant add-on for your browser. Opting out of Google Analytics will not affect your access to our subscription products.

EE will, from time to time, collect and use personally identifiable information that is publicly available from social media websites or applications.

In the event of a possible breach being reported to Environment Essentials, we will handle your complaint with due diligence and in the strictest confidence. We will need to share your information with certain Environment Essentials employees who can assist in responding to your complaint. We will respond to your complaint as soon as reasonably practicable and in any event within 5 business days. This response will be to inform you whether we have accepted your complaint, need further information or do not think we are in breach. Furthermore, we will inform you of the subsequent steps in resolving your complaint.
