WA - WorkSafe Inspections - Program to target various industries

Worksafe is undertaking multiple proactive inspection programs looking at safety issues in the:

• accommodation industry – targeting soft tissue injuries in smaller accommodation providers. More.
• furniture retailing sector – targeting soft tissue, lost time injuries. Inspectors will check for hazards in showrooms and warehouses attached to showrooms. More.
• amusement centres and operators of inflatable amusement devices – targeting the safety of children on amusement rides. More.
• goods and equipment rental and hire industry – targeting industry specific injury areas such as muscular stress from lifting, carrying and putting down objects. More.
