Australia - Energy - Draft amendment to NGER regulations

The Australian Government has released the National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting Amendment (2016 Measures No. 1) Regulation 2016: Exposure Draft. The draft amendment regulations propose to, among other things, clarify and streamline reporting requirements for scope 1 emissions and electricity production in the National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting Regulations 2008. The draft regulations would also reduce regulatory and administrative burdens imposed in relation to registration and suspension of greenhouse and energy auditors.
