Australia – Dangerous goods code review progressing

The National Transport Commission is progressing the Australian Dangerous Goods Code review, and has published the post public consultation amendments to the draft code and post C-RIS consultation FAQs. It is also hosting drop-in sessions to discuss feedback from the consultation and how it will be incorporated into the Code.

Australia – SRC review timeline delayed

The Australian Government has announced that the timeline for the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1988 (SRC Act) review has been delayed by three months. Further consultation will occur in May and June, before the final report is submitted to government in September 2025.

Upcoming anti-discrimination amendments to be paused

The Queensland Government has announced its intention to not implement amendments to anti-discrimination laws, which were scheduled for 1 July 2025. The pause will allow further consultation and policy work to occur.
