South Australia – Electric vehicle levy to be repealed

The SA Government has introduced the Motor Vehicles (Electric Vehicle Levy) Amendment Repeal Bill 2022 to Parliament which, if passed, will repeal the electrical vehicle levy implemented by the previous government. It is anticipated that repealing the levy will reduce the cost of owning and operating electrical vehicles, and therefore encourage the purchase of such vehicles.
