QLD - Biosecurity Legislation - Regulations modernised and simplified

The Exhibited Animals Act 2015 and Exhibited Animals Regulation 2016 have been approved for commencement on 1 July 2016. The new legislation provides a risk-based framework that will allow exhibitors to choose how best to look after their animals and manage safety and biosecurity risks. It will also allow for the exhibit of some new animal species not previously permitted, provided exhibitors can demonstrate that they can manage the risks. More here and here.
